Six friends and a chalet, from the first text to the last photo.
She books the chalet, then makes a space for it: a name, the dates, a colour and an icon. She picks five friends from her contacts, and a text goes out from her own phone with the name of the space and a 6-character code. Her friends get the app, sign in with their number, and they’re already in.
Five say going, Tom says maybe, and Maya stops asking around. The checklist shows what to bring and who’s bringing it, so nobody shows up with the third bag of ice. The chalet listing, the ski rental and Saturday’s restaurant are all in the links.
Tom made it after all. All six add photos and short videos to the same album, so nobody spends Monday asking for them. Everyone puts a song or two on the playlist, and when dinner moves to eight, it’s in the chat.
Everyone drives home on Sunday, and the space becomes the album of that weekend, with the playlist still in it. Next winter, the same six start a new one. Some groups keep a space with no dates at all, like the ski crew’s.
